A born-and-raised Texan from the Rio Grande Valley, I currently work as a journalist in Austin. I currently serve as the senior editor for Texas Highways. Previously, I was the assistant digital editor of KUT, Austin’s NPR station and also served as managing editor for the Texas Observer. I spent five years as the assistant editor for the UT Austin alumni magazine, the Alcalde, and the social media coordinator for Texas Exes; and got my start working as a digital content producer for the Austin American-Statesman. I graduated in 2015 with a degree in journalism from The University of Texas.
